Okay, so I’ve been going slightly stir crazy for a bit. I’ve been in Seattle for over a year and it’s the longest I’ve ever lived in one place. Don’t get me wrong I love it here and have no intention of leaving, but I need to get out of town for a few days.
So there’s this music Fest out in Connecticut the first weekend of August and I am trying to get the Chef’s contract. I know, I’m the only jackass on earth that would go cook on his “vacation” but I have other reasons I want to go that I wont go into.
So what I need from you, my awesome amazing fans, is to email them here and let them know that you want me to cook for this thing.
Part of the reason I’m posting this is for the simple fact that I know getting the gig is a long shot but I really want to show the promoters that I can fly in, with my knives and jacket and rock this event. You people know me, you know for a fact that this type of thing is what I live for. And think about it, how cool would the posts from this event be!?!? Cooking lunch and dinner for 150 people at a bluegrass fest !?!?! Tell me wouldn’t be cool as hell!!!
So please, take 30 seconds and let these people know that I’m the best guy for the job!!! Thank you, and if I get the job, I will post my brownie recipe when I get back, and you’ve been waiting for that for a while……
Hi! Y’all don’t know me, but I’ve known Chef Seth MacKenzie most of my life and I wanted to tell you that there is, frankly, no chef better suited to the task of cooking up excellence itself for your music and flavor hungry festival crowd! His food is absolutely worth it, and that he’s willing to travel that far and work that hard for it should tell you something about his dedication and enthusiasm, to say the least. He has a unique (and delicious!) style that has never let his customers down or left anyone anything other than hungry for more. Bacon, as magical as it is already, becomes at least a demi-god of tasty insanity in the hands of this man, and there is no way you could ever forgive yourselves if you willfully miss out!
All levity aside, I really do hope that you will fully and seriously consider this man for your coming events’ Chef contract. He is brilliant, dedicated, and you can count on him to bring that fire and passion into all of his creations, usual and unique alike.
Thank you for your time, and good luck with your event regardless!

Hey, I went ahead and emailed them. Told them if they didn’t send you a contract by noon tomorrow I’d kill their first borns and string ‘em up in the attic rafters.
